A Little About Highland Lakes 

Highland Lakes Subdivision is located about 6 miles to the North and West of the intersection of Hwy 24 and Hwy 67 S in Divide, Colorado.  The tranquil setting features homes, ranging from summer cabins to luxury year around homes, set in the beautiful woods, rocks, and hillsides of this area of the Rocky Mountains.  The area has a large deer populations, foxes, elk that pass through, an occasional bear or mountain lion and scores of different birds from hummingbirds to bald eagles and blue heron.  

Amenities

The HOA maintains the trail system throughout the subdivision, as well as stocking the nine lakes that are available to residents and their guests for fishing, paddle boating, kayaking, and picnicking around.

The community has several activities throughout the year for the people residing in the community from fishing derby, to Christmas parties and Halloween activities.  The HOA also hosts new resident meetings and receptions, so that the new residents can get to know some of the neighbors and find more out about the neighborhood.

What is there to do Close By?

It is about a 35-40 minute commute to the west side of Colorado Springs, 30 minutes to Cripple Creek, and about 1 1/2 hours to Breckenridge.  The area around Highland Lakes features great hiking at places like the Crags, Dome Rock, Mueller Park, and 11 mile reservoir.
